Black Bean Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion - Chopped
  • 1 Tomato - Chopped
  • 1 Carrot - Diced
  • 1 Cup Chopped Celery Stalk
  • 2 Cup Boiled Black Beans
  • 1 Cup Green Beans
  • 1/2 Cup American Corn
  • 2 Cups Tomato Puree
  • 3-4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1 Tsp Jaggery
  • Salt to Taste

Notes

  1. Heat Oil in a large pot and saute the onion and garlic.
  2. Add Celery, carrots, green beans , corn and the spices.
  3. Add 3 cups of Water and Bring it to a boil.
  4. Add 1 Cup Black beans and 2 cups tomato puree .
  5. Grind 1 cup Black beans to a paste and stir it into the boiling mixture.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes over low flame and serve piping hot.
